We had a fantastic time exploring this beautiful historic hotel, and my family loved the lovely courtyard! The staff was welcoming and attentive, making us feel right at home, even with our dog. Breakfast was delightful, setting a great tone for our days in the city.
My wife says that the limited room service menu could be better for families with children.

Comfortable lounge areas for relaxation.
My experience was thoroughly disappointing. The room I was given had lighting that was a complete nightmare. I couldn't figure out how to set just one light at the bedside, making it either too bright or completely dark. I expected better clarity in room functionalities, especially since I had already wasted time trying to navigate their confusing system.

The Grand Hotel Karel V provided an exceptional experience during my business trip. My room was spacious and well-equipped, allowing me to work efficiently. The hotel features a lovely garden, which was a peaceful escape, and its location enabled easy access to local restaurants and shops. The dining options were impressive, particularly the innovative dishes at the bistro.
Minor noise from church bells during the night.

You gotta love the spacious rooms with high ceilings, feels like you’re in royalty. The staff was warm, even when I asked for some extra treats in the room for my partner’s birthday, they went above and beyond.
It wasn't exactly cheap, but considering the experience, I’d say it’s still justified.

Some areas could greatly benefit from modernization!!! The confusing Wi-Fi login process disrupted my connectivity. Additionally, the inconsistent temperature regulation in the facilities made for an uncomfortable experience during my stay!!!

Had a fantastic time with my friends! We explored neighborhood parties and checked out the local exhibitions. The hotel staff were super friendly, and the room was spacious. We enjoyed a lovely walk to the nearby canals. Breakfast was a treat with tons of options, definitely something to look forward to. Rent the bikes from the hotel if you can. it’s a fun way to see the area!
We tried to dine at the Bistro one evening but were turned away because it was fully booked even though it was quite empty. It was a bit disappointing as we were looking forward to eating there.
